The carols are very popular in South Yorkshire, and are still sung in and around the Stocksbridge, Penistone, Oughtibridge area. Members of the Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir, and Worrall MVC will be very familiar with them.

Please also visit the West Gallery Music Association web site, to quote from them they 'Study, revive and enjoy the Sacred Music of the Georgian Era.'

The music files were mastered in Sibelius and converted to mp3 format. The instrumentation is simulated using a variety of mixes and I cannot predict what they may sound like on your system.

I have recently created an audio CD containing 24 carols plus a couple of songs which are frequently sung at carol concerts and pub singing sessions Pratty Flowers, (known locally as The Holmfirth Anthem) and The Prodigal Son.

While you are here, why not visit the web page of the
Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Symphony Orchestra of the Colne Valley.

Happy Christmas,

Cliff Hamer
